I bought a dozen sets and gave them for Christmas gifts to nephews, nieces, cousins, friends. So far I've had good reviews from all. The game is challenging and entertaining, especially when spelling is part of the answer.

I love this game! A "Word Wizard" friend shared with me about it, and I bought three games! I have given two of them to special people in my life, and WOW!!! WHAT FUN! I am a school teacher and love to share with my 6th graders about "idioms" and expressions. This game is an excellent way to do just that! I also like your suggestions about "making up" where the expression came from, which really gets creative juices flowing. This is fun whether you are in the car, in the classroom, or at the game table! I love ORIJINZ!!

I first read about Orijinz on AnuGarg's Word A Day site. I bought the game to play with my students and have given sets to many of my teacher friends. When I have a few spare minutes at the end of class, I'll grab a few cards and we go at it. My students beg me for it and several of them have purchased their own sets. Fabulous product, I highly recommend it!

I gave Orijinz I to my teenage nieces on Thanksgiving, and they obligingly (begrudgingly?) suggested the whole family try the game at the end of the day. The girls discovered not only how smart their dad is (surprise!), but also what a hilarious time everyone of various ages could have together.

I received the game for Christmas and read through the first deck of cards during the day, saving the other one for a later. I had feared the words and expressions would be too obscure or too obvious, but the selection strikes a nice balance between the possible extremes.

Thanks to learning of this game via your word site, we purchased it for Christmas and it was a big hit. We've found it's also fun to simply look through the cards on your own and try to guess the "orijinz"

I gave this as a gift to a friend of mine and also took it with me on a family trip. We all had fun playing the game and learning a lot of information we never knew before. The only problem with the game is I want more more more! Keep those new versions coming!

I bought two games because it sounded fun and like it would be a good stocking stuffer or gift for someone. My college daughter came to visit and her flight was delayed for three hours so we went to a nearby restaurant and played it for at least an hour as we waited. I gave her the game because she wanted to go through all of the cards.

We've played the game on family road trips & kept everyone alert, but most importantly, the driver. We also used it as a kind of ice breaker at a recent party of about 100 guests. Mother read each of three questions and the first person to yell out the answer received a prize...we had just three prizes...then several people wanted to see the box of cards and wrote down where to order it.

I played orijinz for the first time with two other teacher colleagues. I am a life-long lover of words and student of etymologies, having written my Master’s thesis on the use of word origins in the development and learning of concepts. I, very modestly, of course, assumed I would easily trounce my competition, a science teacher and guidance counselor. However, to my surprise, the science oriented person was a very worthy adversary - and it turned out that we were each equally challenged. Interestingly, the game itself elicited from each of us some unexpected self-disclosures about the past and what certain words and meanings have for us. In the end, a very good time was had by all. Well, I bought the set to play with my grandkids. I'm a mystery author and also took it to my chapter meeting of Mystery Writers of America. The "smarties" on the board had a hoot playing it. They also are a pretty darn smart group and were hollering out the possible answers and right ones quickly. Bottom line: We all had great fun with it--and a few walked away feeling incredibly smart and/or smug. Great entertainment!
